Albert/Joeckel perspective
How would you feel if the Chiefs had the #2 overall pick and packaged it and Albert for Joeckel? Because that's what the Chiefs are on the brink of doing.

#1 pick = 3000 points
#54 pick = 360 points

difference is 2640 points

#2 pick is worth 2600 points

Chiefs are going to invest 3000 - 360 = 2640 points to replace Albert with Joeckel. It could be a good deal for the Chiefs if 1) Albert is out of the league in two years, 2) Jockel is a HOFer and 3) the alternatives (like Geno) don't have very good careers.

He owned the best pass rushers/DL in the best conference in the nation last year with no help from his team.

He's a very good player and yeah he's not as bad as some here say. I have read some reports about scouts thinking he's maxed out in terms of physicality and that he doesn't have the ceiling the other two have

Riiiiight.

Unless you mean he never had help from a TE or RB, in which case part of the reason why it's important to have an adequate LT is so you don't need to waste a guy in help protection on that side. That's kind of a general expectation out of the LT, actually. He's expected to make the right calls on blitzers and do whatever it takes to protect the QB, which is why he has the blindside. You want HIM on the edge, and not some TE.
