Need recommendation: Cashew Chicken, Springfield MO
So, I have a very good friend going through a tough spot in life. We were talking today and I told him I need to run to Springfield on Wednesday. He sort of hinted he could ride along and that he had heard Springfield is like the mecca for cashew chicken.

I know zero about cashew chicken but he was so into it, I said, ride with me, grab a lunch after I get my business done and be home by 430

So.....now that Im committed, give me your best shot where to go for lunch

5 spice has crab and lobster Rangoon that is realllll good. Good cashew chicken.

Pa Chan’s is probably my favorite cashew chicken, but they do the sauce on the side which I don’t know why I don’t like

Hong Kong inn and golden palace are always good cashew chicken

Leong’s is wonderful from a historical perspective, but it’s a bit pricey. The best that I’ve found in the current crop of contenders is Golden Cuisine, 1520 W Battlefield.

I don’t even think they have Cashew Chicken, but Corner 21 in Springfield is the best Chinese food I’ve ever had in my life.

It’s more authentic than typical American Chinese food so I didn’t recognize but like 2 items on the menu.

I just found something I thought looked good from the picture and said I wanted that.

They brought out the food on a skillet and it was sizzling when they brought it out.

To say it was delicious was an understatement. Highly recommend.

Corner 21 is super authentic and amazing! No Cashew, General, typical sweet and sour chicken. But definitely worth a try for something different.

For cashew chicken, I would definitely try The Riksha downtown. It’s small and unassuming, but delicious and ALWAYS fresh.

When I go on float trips or to Branson, I usually stop off at Mother's brewing (or SBC if they aren't open) and Peking House. I mainly choose Peking House because it's quick, good, and located on my route.



I've also been to Leong's and while that is indeed the origin of Cashew Chicken, I feel like it wasn't really all that special.
