All I'm saying is Baldwin wasn't in the top 100 WR on my ESPN Fantasy cheat sheet and Jenkins was.

He's a long strider that has always struggled coming out of his breaks and off the line. That was his big question mark coming out of Pitt. Give him a guy with a big arm and the ability to go get the ball in the air downfield. He's much better suited to Kaepernick as a QB in Harbaugh/Roman's gimmick/downfield read option system.

Jenkins isn't going to beat anyone for the ball downfield, but he's very quick off the line and making his breaks. Give him a set pattern and a lead with the ball and he'll be able to make things happen out of it with yards after the catch. He's much better suited to Alex Smith and Reid's west coast system.

The change will give both players the opportunity to play to their individual strengths. Whether they achieve the production of their lofty first round draft status is hypothetical at this point, they both will have a better opportunity to do so with this change.

I understand where you're coming from...AS as a pro, Baldwin seems like he plays much slower than his time indicates. I think the DB's are much better in the NFL and it will and has effected his game.

I agree. Three coaches didn't like Baldwin. Only one hasn't liked Jenkins at this point. He probably won't do jack shit but, I'd prefer him to Baldwin at this point.

He actually had a good snag in the game that was called back for offensive holding. Caught it with his hands out in front of him.

It's a sliver of a scrap of hope, but I'll take getting open against our 1's vs. three targets and zero catches against their 2's.

When guys like Richard Sherman, Brandon Browner, Patrick Peterson, Janoris Jenkins, Cort Finnegan all in the NFC WEST who are like the top press CBs in the NFL, line up in front of Baldwin

what the hell do the 49ers expect to happen lol

Observations from #Chiefs practice: Jamaal Charles looks fine, Junior Hemingway worked with starters, Mike Devito out with apparent injury.

@TomPelissero: #Chiefs aren't wasting time with A.J. Jenkins, who did everything from scout-team stuff to a few reps with the ones in practice today.

No surprise. We still don't have a #2 WR. Throw them all out there and see what they can do.

I envision Reid picking up wayward dog turds off the field and throwing them at the fence to see what sticks...
