It has nothing to do with "marketable".

Ray Lewis is the focal point of the commercial. Rudd is just a fan playing Madden. Lewis is a Raven, a rival of the Steelers. It wouldn't make any sense to have Ray Lewis talking to a Chiefs fan.

Eddie Griffin is from KC as well. He used to have his own sitcom that wasn't filmed in KC but based in KC. They always talked about the Chiefs, Royals, etc. on the show.
