I figured I would start a thread for this and see what happens....there seemed to be quite a few viewers on the board for this show the past few weeks.....I like the direction the show is taking so far......episode 3 tonight at 7 central on ABC....

I agree. I can't get away from thinking that it has an important place in the overall big picture of what's really going on. The island has made quite a point about being "timeless", or possibly unaffected by time, and that fact has to be closely woven into the story. I keep thinking there's a cultural significance that hasn't been explained yet.

As the show progresses, he added, it won't venture too far into science fiction as its mysteries unfold. "I don't think we've shown anything on the show yet ... that has no rational explanation in the real world that we all function within. Well, that did change, but the show is still awesome.

Yeah they knew.

I've heard they knew all the main points they were going to hit, including the very last scene of the show.

They do need to make up some stuff as they go along though.

The one I hear the most from detractors is that the Producers didn't even think they were going to keep Michael Emerson on after 5 episodes. While I agree that is true, I do think they knew they were going to have a leader of "The Others" and this guy was so good, they wrote him into that role.
