It's been ages since I've heard a Squeeze song, but I vaguely recall them and there might be some similarity. The Housemartins are a big win for me because I like their bouncy beat and quick-paced songs.

If I hadn't already voted, and if that song wasn't boring, you'd have a deal.

Smashing Pumpkins, Boston, and...

I probably would have voted for Red Barchetta, but I didn't feel strongly about it and I kind of liked the upbeat, bouncy Housemartins song so they got my 3rd vote. I only know 4 other Housemartins songs and I don't like 3 of them because they are boringly mellow so it was nice to find a second Housemartins song that I enjoy. The other one I like is called Happy Hour, btw.

P.S. Bob Dylan's raspy-assed voice won't be getting any of my votes.

Good man. Try listening to Doubtful (maybe it's You Better Be Doubtful), Get Up Off Your Knees, Me and the Farmer, and The People Who Grinned Themselves to Death if you want to hear other fast Housemartins songs. Like you, I'm not a fan of their mellow stuff, but they have lots of good upbeat songs.

Eyes of a Stranger isn't even the best song on the album.

The Pumpkins were way ahead of their time, singing about Vampires in the mid 90's was revolutionary.

1 U2 song and 2 Led Zep.

Still a questionable Rain Man outing...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

He's just the guy hired to run the poll. The list of songs was provided by ChiefsPlanet in a previous thread. You need to be more diligent in your attention to this website to insure that oversights like these aren't repeated.

We have 7 Zeppelin songs, 4 Floyd songs, and 4 U2 songs in the mix, as well as 7 Queen songs. Ted Nugent didn't get nominated, and I'm sure he'll send me a cleverly written rant about that when he finds out.

And I can't stop being a nerd. It's not my fault. I was born that way.
