I just repurchased The Meat Purveyors - Pain by Numbers. I had purchased it about a year ago and a week after purchasing it and before I could make a backup copy my computer was stolen. So this time first thing I did was burn it to a cd.

I haven't yet, but I've had a $15 gift certificate burning a hole in my pocket for over a year now (it's burning real slow). I'm on dialup so I've been hesitant to mess with it.
IIRC, iTunes was originally derived from MusicMatch so there should be some similarities..

I've bought several songs off of iTunes. They have a pretty good selection of music available. And I love the way the application works, it's very user friendly.

My wife buys from them a lot.
I like the compilations they put together. You can get a great selection of songs from an artist/genre all in one neat package. |

That said, has anyone actually gotten the "give this track/CD as a gift" function to work? Bob Dole has been trying for about 4 hours and the damned thing keeps returning an unknown error. |

Weirdness...
Bob Dole's iTunes affiliate status was approved and Bob Dole was messing around last night with the links and went to purchase a song that he had used the "tell a friend" link to email it to himself. Now the song that was released on January 24 and was there on Monday isn't available until April 3. WTF? (And if you want to contribute to Bob Dole's bank account, Bob Dole gets a nickel for every track you purchase if you click the following link first.) |

I like eMusic. I've never bought anything from iTunes, though.

I hate iTunes.
I use eMusic myself. iTunes reformatted over 3,000 songs I had on my hard-drive. I had them reformatted back to their original files, but since then I don't use iTunes anymore.
