Excited about the win, but that last minute was so terribly coached by FM I was speechless. Will inbounding and JO/Martavious on the floor to shoot free throws? WTF? Trapping at halfcourt up 5 only to give up a wide open 3? Taking JO out and leaving him out while NU is trying to miss free throws and get the rebound? With Southwell and Rodney as the key rebounders? WTF was that?

It was really a cluster**** on both ends. I have no idea what was going through both coaches' minds for the last two minutes. Jacob Pullen just went and grabbed a game that nobody seemed to want.

Though, I did like FM's decision to foul up three with 4 seconds left. We've seen what happens when you don't do that.

Agreed, but then we left the 7 footer on the bench to grab a board on the intentional miss. It didn't hurt, because NU failed to execute.

The great coach Doc did enough coaching to just almost get close enough to win. Just needs some more time to get over the hump

JO was on the bench because he barely missed causing a 4 point play.... just a ****ing reeruned move on his part.

If you go back and watch, JO jumps ALL-OUT to block that three point shot when we were up 5, and barely flies past the shooter, instead of into him.

Had that been Jake shooting the three, it would have been 3 and 1, or 3 FT's.

Thankfully Doc's team wasn't intelligent.

Anyhow, Frank's eyeballs almost popped out, and think blood even trickled out of his ears on the next time out. JO is probably still sitting on the bench in Lincoln.

I know he was mad at JO, but that's no excuse for leaving him on the bench when you need a rebound and your other alternatives are 6'6. And BTW, NU put two seven footers out there for our small forwards to try to box out. JO did a great job battling on the glass and got 6 boards. If FM wants to scream at somebody on that play you're referencing, he needs to scream at himself for running a trap at half-court, leading to a wide open shooter at the three point line.

Big one coming up Saturday. Win that one and we could end up with a bye in the Big XII tournament.

Of course, getting an extra win at the 5-12 match up wouldn't be bad either.

I think a ticket to the dance would be sewn up with wins in 2 of the next 3 regardless of tournament outcome.

So, 8-9 is basically a death sentence for round two...

What are our projected seedings?

9-10 as of now. I think if we can win 2 of 3 and get the #4 seed a 7 isn't out of the realm of possibility. Of course. lose 2 of 3 and get blasted in the tournament and we're NIT bound.
