I was surprised to see KState playing the outside/edges on that last defensive drive; it was like they were playing as though Oregon had no timeouts and wanted to keep them in bounds. So the middle was wide open on two throws; then they bring in a defense to take away the middle and they outlet to the RB.

Boom.


BTW, I wish Mark May would retire. ...and Holtz too.

Will be interesting to see if Chip Kelly's offense can translate to the NFL.

I beginning to think this is less about him being a great innovator and more about him having great players. He may have a rude awakening when he gets to the NFL and is forced to deal with a salary cap and parity.

I can see Chip being like Vermeil in which he can scheme and set up defenses to get what he wants.

Exhibit A is hitting the wide open TE twice, forcing KSU to keep a LB in the middle and leaving the RB wide open for the TD.
