Why? If he is who you think he is, then he will fail miserably trying to prove you wrong. Why would you, as a fan of the Chiefs, want that?

Why not instead play to his strengths - and succeed as Harbaugh did. Not all successful QB's have to fit into the Brett Farve mold.

Except for the fact that in your picture there, Bowe is not yet looking for the pass. Tough to throw at a guy 5 yards from you when his head is turned the other way.

I can't help it that Alex threw an inaccurate ball.

At least he's been consistent through 2 games. Positive steps.

FWIW Mac, your idea of a return route on the goal line is quality thinking.

Dude, Matt Cassel had success making those kinds of throws to Bowe. Guys like Joe Flacco, Tony Romo and Philip Rivers got paid because they make those kinds of throws.

If Alex can't make them, he's not the guy. Period.

Last year.

http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/201312...066&tab=videos

Bowe doesn't see the ball released and so he doesn't react like the DB reacts. Bowe had the size advantage on all these DBs and Smith wanted to give him a chance to go up and catch a TD.

Bet he could get his head around.

Anyway, to absolve Alex of blame on that play is just mindless homerism. I can accept the idea that Bowe ran a shitty route, to be honest.

If that is so, Alex needed to go elsewhere. What he did had a 99.9 percent chance of failing.

You can't be this stupid. The ball was headed right where Bowe was supposed to be... but was deflected by the DT that Hudson was playing soft against. Bowe got distracted by the LB and basically stopped, instead of continuing to cross the LB.

I'm all about the truth of it, so is anyone else seeing this as well? If I am wrong, then I am wrong.. but at least discuss exactly why.

Bowe did exactly what he's been taught to do since leaving high school.

That's a great way to ignore that Alex had Avery open by a step on that play and instead threw into coverage.

This is the problem with Smithbaters. Nothing is ever his fault. Can't even share blame.

**** every single last one of you.

I suppose that it's possible KC and Alex Smith are starting a unique innovation that will catch the entire NFL off guard by sitting vs man and running vs zone.

I don't think he is the guy for you... or ever will be. Blame Dorsey for that, not Smith.

Ah, here's the rub.

Bowe sat down, and Alex threw right into coverage.

In fact, it looks to me like he even threw to the wrong shoulder.

Game over, Smithbaters.

Your princess is in another castle.

Again.. if Bowe is to sit vs the zone, why run directly at the LB that isn't budging there?

Let's hear this football wisdom of yours that everyone claims you have. I'm not saying you don't.. but if you do, you are being either vague or glib instead of precise.
