It appears as if game 4 of 1994 was possibly Montana's worst game as a Chief.

It was the only game in his career in which he was shutout.

The Rams were pretty bad -- either 0-3 or 1-2, I think -- and the 3-0 Chiefs were heavy favorites. Afterwards, there were rumors that the team had been hit by the flu, and I remember seeing a giant sign on an office building that said, "The Rams didn't beat us -- the flu did!"

Ricky Stanzi has never thrown a regular season NFL pass. So the fact that Kansas City’s crowd, on at least one occasion, broke into a “Stanzi! Stanzi!” chant does not bode well for Cassel (or backup Brady Quinn).

One week after leading the Chiefs to a win in New Orleans, Cassel again face-planted in front of his home fans. He threw three interceptions, including a first-half pick-6, as the Chiefs were blasted by the Chargers in an important divisional matchup.

Pitoitua’s Multi-Sack Day: DE Ropati Pitoitua recorded the first multi-sack performance of his career with 2.0 sacks (-10.0 yards) of San Diego QB Philip Rivers. The sacks are his first QB takedowns as a member of the Chiefs. He now has 3.0 sacks for his career.



Hali’s Sack: LB Tamba Hali recorded his first sack of the season (-10.0 yards). The sack gives him 54.5 career sacks. He has recorded 9.5 sacks against San Diego in his career, all coming against QB Philip Rivers.
