The Chiefs have cheerleaders and 80,000 fans cheering.
Chiefs got their butt kicked on the field, and it was not Larry Johnson's fault. If he was up and cheering it would not have made a bit of difference. Sitting the bench is not fun and he should not act as if he likes it. He definitely has shown more ability at his position than Kawika Mitchell has at his, and if anybody from the draft looks like a true bust it is Mitchell. LJ is not as good as Priest, but he could do well behind this offensive line and could put up decent numbers in the NFL in the right situation.

So here's a question...WHY THE **** AREN'T WE PLAYING HIM?
Every team in the NFL has plays more than one RB. Every team has a "change of pace" back or a "third down" back or just a guy that gives the #1 a breather. The only time we bring in someone else is when we need a critical fourth down in the waning minutes of the game? We are currently ranked 21st in the league in rushing attempts, with the two monday night teams having not played yet (so likely worse after tonight). If we have the "best RB in the NFL" and a first round pick on the bench, plus a burner that has shown potential to be a homerun threat, why aren't we running? Did I mention our pro-bowl O-line? Al Saunders needs to pull his head out of his ass. We have no WRs, and a stable of RBs...gee what play should I call? We should be seeing Holmes getting 25+ carries, and another back getting about ten carries.

why not try Priest as a wideout with LJ in on certain situations... LJ can play but isnt on the field, fi we have no Receivers just move people around...

The camera man could have been saying, why is this man not in the game...instead of why is this man not into this game

It kills me that this guy was the first RB taken in his draft class and he wastes away. Unreal the way his potential career is being ruined.

Look, is this an issue you really want to pursue at this point in time? I can think of at least, err, 5 or 10 other problems that seem to actually affect execution on the field. Besides if the rumor is true LJ may actually get an opportunity to "vent" this week. BTW, I can't take my eyes off your avatar. Is she chopping, mixing, stirring or some other type of food preparation? Just curious. ----> |

LJ is one play from being the starter this week. He'll get some carries.

Here's how I read LJ's frustration:
1. He's been paid handsomely. 2. He's not happy on the bench. 1+2 = football player So many players cash their check and coast through their careers. LJ cashed his and he wants to prove his worth on the field, earn his money.... Why are we dragging the man down when he's clearly motivated to play the game. This one isn't in it for the money, he's in the league to play and he isn't getting the opportunity. We should applaud his desire, but some of you are trashing him instead. He's really in a no-win situation. If he sits there holding a clipboard, he's Todd Collins. If he demands a trade, he's a malcontent. If Priest Holmes is injured and LJ doesn't score 27 rushing TD's, he's not worth it. If he pouts when he's not getting playing time, he's a wasted pick. WTF should Larry Johnson do, people? |

I don't understand all the negativity on LJ either. I almost want priest to be out for sunday just to see him get a chance, then priest can come back in against Baltimore.
