Johnny Football kicked out of Manning football camp

According to our friends and Rumors and Rants, Texas A&M quaterback Johnny Manziel was kicked out of the Manning Passing Academy. While organizers of the camp said on Saturday that Manziel was sick, that appears more to be a smokescreen more than anything else.

You may have seen pictures from earlier in the week with AJ McCarron and Manziel at a bar and McCarron talking with Peyton and Eli at what appears to be the same place. From what R&R’s is reporting, Manziel continued partying long into the night and was late, Archie sent him nome.

Sure, partying hard is part of college, but this kind of behavior is not acceptable when you are being given instruction from the First Family of the NFL. As the Heisman Trophy winner and being the BMOC in College Station, Manziel is expected to grow-up, but he appears to put his good times first before showing respect to others, and it appears that Archie is teaching him a lesson. Bottom-line, the family who runs this camp didn’t get to where they are because they partied and then missed practices and/or lessons.

R&R’s also included a tweet in their report from someone in College Station that said that Manziel was out and about back on campus Saturday night. Sick, huh?

I am not in any way comparing Johnny Manziel to Aaron Hernandez, but we expect NFL team’s to be even more critical of player’s character, and pissing off the Manning’s certainly isn’t going to help him.

The problem with your logic, is this kid has the physical skills of Seneca Wallace.

The Manning family does more for the NFL than any other non-ownership family in the America. Their Passing Camp is crucial to scouts, both college and Pro.

Furthermore, if YOUR son was going #1 to a shitbag team like the Chargers, who play in a shit stadium with shit fan support, a shit GM (who basically destroyed the franchise after taking over for his predecessor) and a coach whose playoff record is 5-13, you're going to sit there and say "Well, okay"?

Also...

Manziel got in to a fight that night after allegedly throwing racial slurs at a man. When police arrived, the two men were engaged in “mutual combat.” Manziel picked the fight with a 47-year-old man.

That is untrue. Eyewitness accounts say Manziel's friend used racial slurs. All accounts agree that Manziel didn't use racial slurs.

If I remember correctly, he didn't pick the fight either. That "article" is just awful.



While there's plenty to bag on Manziel for this isn't one of them.

I've got nothing against the Manning's, but your above argument is bullshit. That is such a bad precedent to set and a bad message to send. The draft is set up so the poor teams the year before get the first chance at the elite players. What if there would have been an Andrew Luck or RG3 available in this years draft and they would have proclaimed that they would refuse to play for KC because KC has never developed their own QB? That could damage KC's chances at success for years.

What Eli and his family did at the draft was selfish and I wish San Diego would have called their bluff. If players are going to refuse to play for certain teams, why even have a draft? Just make all players free agents.
