What the hell is this bullshit I keep hearing about Ware slowing down?

"His YPC is way down."

Watch this mother****er run on NFL replay right now. Only thing this cat is slowing down for is old ladies crossing the street. The dude runs as hard as he has been all season.

The running game hasn't quite been totally on since Ehinger went down. Give him a crease and he'll rape dudes.

Well, unless I read it wrong, he is right. Ware, not the problem.. but that doesn't mean that there is no run game problem. The problem is with the OL, and probably a combination of Andy's predictability and formations.

And other teams selling out to stop the run & short game. Daring Alex to win deep.

Spencer Ware, like most RBs with power and speed, gets stronger with more carries.

The blocking might be a part of the problem, but the bigger issue, IMO, is the fact that there is no commitment to the running game.

Ware gets about 15, 16 carries a game, and that is not nearly enough.

Every week we do this.
Draw play just does not work out of the shotgun. Qb has to be under center. You can't suprise the defense from 3 yrds back.

Hopefully things turn around for him
Over 4.0 against the panthers and bucs.
Under against the broncos (best d in the league) and the falcons (top 10 against the run)

That's a big sample size. And yards mean nothing. It's what he does with his carries/catches

People were bitching about Travis Kelce's production the first half of the season. Now he's top 2 in every category outside of touchdowns. And leading the league in receiving yards for any position the last 3 or 4 weeks

Individual stats mean nothing. Ware is the same player he has been. He's not Jamaal Charles, but he's still a pretty damn good player

This.

Ware is a beast but he's not a HOF beast. He can't just manufacture it on his own. You look at that Atlanta game again and he's fighting for extra yardage. His effort is there.

Our line is just still half $3it...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Ware is a fine player but I wish he had more speed. That is what we miss in our RB's without JC. That burst in the open field to chew up yards and not get caught.

The oline had a bad day the other day. Look at Fisher. He was jumping off at his own shadow. The Canadian was guilty a few plays. Morse ect.

Ware has great acceleration speed. Just not great breakaway JC speed. He's fine.
