Ted Ginn on the block

I think he would fit extremely nicely as a slot receiver/KR/PR. I imagine the Tuna would require a 4th or maybe even 2 of our 5ths. Would you pull the trigger?

Hey OTWP...

I promise you, buddy...

You don't know ANYMORE about the NFL than I do...

That's a god damn guarantee my man...

I don't care about you and Hamas and Dane back-scratching each other with your PM's and your 'oh man we're awesome' posts...

I promise you I gather just as much information, if not more, about every single player every single Chiefs game I watch (which is every game)...

Trust me.

You are full of crap sometimes, dude, and this is one of those times.

Carr is not all-pro but he's a very solid corner. He had 19 passes defensed last year. Judging any corner with terrible safeties and little pass rush is pretty foolish.

Just because you disagree with PFF does not make it bullshit. Who do you think puts more time into accurately and objectively rating players - you, or PFF.com?

oh you casual fan you!

OTWP actually watches coaches tape and knows all of Clancy's hand signals and knows where Carr is supposed to be and every time there was a breakdown in coverage last year it was Mike Brown.

OTWP knows!

He's not a casual fan...he's actually a super awesome fan that gets to call in a lot of the coverages each game...seriously...every time we get a stop on 3rd down...OTWP makes the call! I know...he's awesome!

Dude, Pendergast sucked balls. Almost made me wish that Gunther was back here.

How much of Carr getting beat was on Carr, and how much of it was on the piss poor defense Clancy called, working in concert with our weak dick pass rush? Like I said - I bet Revis got beat when the Jets blitzed and couldn't get there.

So do you not watch the games? I can easily pull up a handful of youtube videos and show you were Carr was burnt and it wasn't even close.

He was a 2nd year player taken in the 5th round from Grand Valley State, FFS.

He's not going to be an All-Pro instantly. Or probably ever.

But he's shown enough in a short time to make anyone who knows what they are looking at think he'll be a solid CB in this league.

Get him and Flowers a pass rush and some competent safeties that they don't have to cover for, and they'll be solid.

And people say I never say anything positive about the Chiefs.

I guess this is true...

I wonder how much better even Mike Brown would have looked if we didn't give QB's all freaking day to throw the ball...

I realize Carr gave up some completions last year. But to call him out as dogshit who can be easily replaced is not objective.

No pass rush. No safeties. Brandon Carr is far from the weakest link on our defense.

He would be good as a nickelback but I don't think he's that good of a starter I really don't.

Because God knows a collection of posters on a message board is more reliable than the OFFICIAL site of the NFL and one of the most notable sports sites that track the league.

Look at the teams you are naming these late round picks on though. Guys in system franchises like the Cowboys, Patriots, Eagles, Packers, Cardinals and Saints. These are decent drafting teams with systems in place to develop these kinds of players to get some value out of them. It's almost situation specific in the later rounds, if you are a guy that gets drafted by a good team in the later rounds, you have a higher chance of making it because you are going into a system that is going to give you the opportunity to learn, improve and use your potential, so the grooming process is there. You could almost flip flop it, I find it hard to believe if a Steve Breaston or Colston type was drafted by the Raiders in the 5th/6th/7th round that they would have the same value today as they do playing on their respected franchises. You could probably take that same theory and put a guy like Chaz Schilens on the Raiders (who has similar raw talent and skill sets on paper as these "later round" value guys like Breaston and Colston) and say if he was drafted by the Cardinals or the Saints, would he be in a better valued position than he is right now?

you'll never see me overrate or underrate Chiefs players because I'm a fan...I call them how I see it...

Flowers is overrated by Chiefs fans but I still think he's a very good corner with superstar ability...just isn't there yet.

Carr is mediocre and if replaced, we'd see nothing noticeable from his replacement. Carr and Leggett are basically the same system player...if the system protects them, they can look ok...if the system doesn't, they get burnt. They are marginal talent that can look like they deserve their roster spot at times, and at other times, they can look flat out terrible.

Bullshit.

Carr was among the league leaders in passes defensed.

Leggett is garbage who can't even stay on the field.
