I hated the Daboll hire at the time. I thought he was the worst guy we could of chosen. I actually wanted Al Saunders back at the time once I found out we interviewed him. But I don't really remember most of the board being excited about Daboll. I thought we all hated him to begin with.

he had that one good year with Peyton Hillis in Cleveland. but, even we hated his play calling. It always seemed to be sporadic....

I dispised the Daboll hire. Some fat ****ing turd idiot from the Browns.

We had the Jaguars preseason game and everyone thought, "Hmm... maybe we can just run the ball 50 times a game and be that team."

Then the second preseason game happened, and we thought "Nevermind."

I wanted a real ****ing coordinator who cared about the ****ing passing game.

Now you've got three: Reid, Childress and Pederson.

People seem to forget that Reid and Childress had a good run in Philly and with a decent QB, Childress won in Minnesota.

No way that Pioli would have let a non E/P guy come in and run the offense.

The Daboll hire was ****ing dumb. Can't believe those ****s convinced themselves that he was the guy.

On Second thought, he might have seriously been the most qualified guy willing to take the job.

how soon we forget the "Daboob turned around Matt Moore" argument

didn't matter that his whole career demonstrated he was a failure, the fact that Moore had a 8 solid games under him meant we had a 'recent' data point to refute his entire history (sounds familiar...)..and besides, 'who can judge' before he performs as a Chiefs...etc...

Ah yes.

Yet another example of fans trying to rationalize obviously bad moves. Optimism is a helluva drug.

The Daboll hiring was awful but a majority didnt like it. If you want to throw something in peoples faces the majority liked the Romeo hiring.

Im not throwing it anyone's face.

Just stating it's an example on how we rationalize things that are rather irrational....despite the facts starring us right in the face.

I agree on the Crennel thing as well.

Hiring Sean Peyton as coordinator wouldn't of made any difference with Cassel under center.

the best example to use for this type argument is

everyone liked the Stanford Routt signing

and everyone was proven wrong

lol. That was the only major crow eating moment, where majority of the people that defended him, compared him to Carr, said the drop off wouldnt be noticeable and when he started getting beat like a drum kind of just put their tail between their legs and said, yeah, I guess he is really awful. oh well.
