So, what are our chances of winning the division?

Did you see that juggernaut out there?

That Denver team is way better than last year's version. Manning is better. Their receivers are better. Without three of their most important defenders from last season, the Donkey defense turned Joe Flacco into a shit-eating rape monkey.

That team is a serious Super Bowl contender.

What are we?

Explain how, please. I've got some time today.

Direckshun: Alex Smith was indisputably the best option to win this year
AdumbGuy: Alex smith, the goat ****er? naw man, what criteria are you basing that upon? I could probably argue Carson Palmer is better than Alex Smith. Pretty sure it's incredibly disputable since we haven't even played a game yet. **** Peyton Manning.
Direckshun: Welp, safe to say my arguments holds because of these 0 reasons I've provided. Also, Alex Smith fellates goats.
AdumbGuy: And how!

They didn't need to run. Baltimore was gassed and Denver knew it and went right at them with the pass. They have a TON of new starters on defense. Much harder to stop the pass than the run. They were out of position on a few TD passes and then on otherse just flat out missed tackles. Again, bottom line, Denever didn't need to run it.

How many other teams who need new QBs have to waste entire seasons on veterans just to stabilize the position? Not to build around or to make a legit run. Just to "stabilize".

We've got to be the only team in the NFL who actually thinks that way.

This is EXACTLY the case. If Alex can't grow / develop with the team, they'll go in a different direction. People who are bitching, refuse to see this concept because of past failures/plans. This one is different. This is a different front office.

agreed but when they did, their RBs just dont look good. Moreno is who he is and for being a top 15 pick, he has never performed. Hillman is tiny tiny, and Ball is slow. Chiefs will be defined by the stable of horses they have back there.. That, in my opinion is what is going to give them the best chance to win the division. A real run first balanced offense.

Different game if Clark doesn't choke away that easy TD at half and Harbarf throws the flag on the very obvious one bouncer.

After that they just gave up- terrible coaching, dropped passes, bad throws, lazy effort on the D and just a bad all around performance by the Ravens.

What a beat down.

Jeez....when you're as BROKEN as the Chiefs were on offense, you first must first right the ship (stabilize things). That in istelf IS a step forward. Then you go from there in a positive direction.

Alex will be very solid and very smart.
Watching Alex try to outscore a Peyton led offense will be must see TV.

Hah, we're on a 40 year plan! Punter, check, Linebackers, check, quarterback? no, no, no, maybe in a few years; first we have to get this fullback situation resolved!

The Chiefs D was missing 2 key players as well. People seem to forget about that.
