Would you trade Reid/Smith for Harbaugh/Kaep?

In a second. I'd probably throw in any other player on our roster.

You sure about that? He took just as many sacks as alex smith. Let me repeat that for you. HE HAS THE BEST OLINE IN FOOTBALL. Kap is garbage.

Harbs refusing to use the depth on the roster last year and this year is becoming indefensible.
Reid has a record of using what he has, including more than a few QBs in and out of the lineup, to the fullest and fielding top 10 offenses. Harbaugh and co last 3 years... 11th in points 11th in points 11th in points |

Yes, but I don't think they'd immediately achieve the same level of success here as they have in SF, because the talent over there is so good. Their GM has done a nice job. And I don't think it would be as huge an upgrade in totality as some might think. Reid is a real good coach, and I'm happy he's here.
That said, I wouldn't be shocked if someday Harbaugh ended up here, assuming the opportunity arose and he were available. His wife's family is from here, so there are local roots for him to want this job eventually, sort of like there were for John Dorsey... |

LOL. It amazes me with you people.
The 49ers offense has gotten WORSE since Alex Smith left, DESPITE the talent around Kaepernick getting better. You people just don't get it. Alex Smith was NEVER the problem in San Francisco. But, you would want to bring both of those problems here. Typical.

Him choosing Kap when he did, before Kap was ready was bad for the 49ers. And now they are stuck with it. The best of Kap you saw in 2012 on his run to the super bowl. Its never going to equal that again. The guy you saw in the playoffs who completed less than 60 percent of his passes, and choked again when it mattered most, is probably what you are going to see a lot of. They have a book on him, and once they get the book on you, its very hard to change. Im considered an alex smith guy, but im much more of a guy who just saw NOTHING that others saw in Kap. harbaugh is an amazing coach. I would love to play for the guy. But his loyalty to his players, and his decisions being made in the heat of the moment can get you into trouble. It happened when he was a player, and he broke his hand punching Jim Kelly, it happened to him his first year in SF, when he had that fiasco with Jim Schwartz, and it happened with the Kap and Alex decision. shrugs.

What? He went to five straight nfc championships. I think along the way he beat a quality team or two.
