YUP! You know he would probably wind up with the Raiders too.
He should be a key part of every game! If nothing else use him for the dump off when the receivers downfield aren't open. PLAY ACTION TO TG ON 4th AND GOAL AT THE 1 YARDLINE WOULD HAVE WORKED!! Brett Favre used to love to throw to Chmura and it usually always worked too. |

You know I noticed the trend last year in the Chiefs last two games against Seattle and Oakland. I wonder why we didn't win those games?

Tony was double covered during most of the game. He will learn how to break the coverage as all good tight ends do.

Double coverage hasn't seemed to bother Grbac to much so far. In todays game he threw to Lockett in triple coverage, and was luck it wasn't picked.

RaiderHader - So let me understand.... If Grbac throws the ball to Tony in double coverage and it is picked off, it is Grbac's fault. However, if Grbac doesn't throw to Tony to avoid the interception, it is Grbac's fault?<P>

This proves that Elvis isn't one dimensional. How many different receivers this week? Again? Grbac's play is the only thing keeping this offense alive...The running game sure isn't...

Wait a minute. You are putting words in my mouth. I didn't blame EG for this. I asked if he had a problem throwing to him, and when you said that Gonzo is in double coverage I merely pointed out the fact that that has not stopped him with other receivers. Calm down man, and don't read things that aren't there.

RaiderHader - Actually you did. Read your first post. "Does Grbac have a problem throwing to him"... pretty much looks like blame to me.
As far as Lockett goes, he has the surest hands on the team. Tony will learn how to adapt. Teams realize that he is at LEAST one of the top 5 TE's in the game today. They plan for him. He will do well and I imagine that against SD, DEN,and SEA we will see a great deal more to him. |

Wolfman, if you look closely you will see a ? after the QUESTION. If your looking for a fight about EG you wont get it with me. I don't like him, and I want to see him gone. But you can't lay the loss off on him. I'm objective enough to at least see, and admit that. Chill out.

The WRs were blamed for the loss last week becasue of all the drops, and rightly so. They did a very good job today catching the ball and drawing PI calls. Why is Grbac getting all the credit?
He was adequate today. He didn't lose the game today, but he didn't exactly snatch victory from the jaws of defeat, either. I know, I know...it's all Raye's fault. ------------------ This is my signature!! There are many like it but this one is mine!! |

Clint is accurate in one point, when under 7 minutes with a lead and the ball, the QB didn't rule the day.
But yes, Clint, I do lay it on Jimmy as well. I am tired of playing not to lose. How about some more of those passes and putting a nail in the coffin? I understand conservative play at home, but some risks have to be made on the road to win tough games like todays. |

What is conservative play calling? Is it trying to protect the ball, or the lead? You know when you punt after three and out you really haven't protected the ball anaways.

If the running game could've netted 1, maybe 2 first downs, the game would've been over. So much for smashmouth "wearing down a defense in the 4th quarter".
I still place the blame on Stoyo for this one, however! ------------------ This is my signature!! There are many like it but this one is mine!! |

There are many to blame, but the majority of it goes to the coaching.
