Electronics CAD people, do we have them?

So I've moved from basic CAD, drawing 2-d shit for submittals, to construction estimating/takeoff.

I've tried Blue Beam, but I'm not entirely convinced on the mathematical output/results.

Does anyone have any good LISP routines for calculating 2-d volume? I'd like to be able to to present cubic ft., cubic yard, etc.

I use Bluebeam for processing submittals, but we use Planswift for takeoff. Much more capable and also includes estimating ability if you want it (we use Excel). Let me know if you want a link to download a demo of Planswift....

What trades are you estimating?

I'm sure that's the case, I was just flipping him shit because he talked about apologizing for being too technical, and used the term 2-D volume.

Concrete and asphalt paving. Sweet Jeebus, I had software sales people calling me all day today.

I'll definitely try Planswift if you can hook me up without 20 phone calls.

Frankly, some good LISP routines would get the job done.
