I have no doubt that Clark probably told Pioli to make it work with Cassel, since he spent $63 million on him.

I am sure Clark Hunt would be furious if he got jack for that investment.

And speaking of Jack, Cassel is legit a worse player than Tyson Jackson. At least Pioli can somewhat talk his way out of that with bullshit.

It won't have any affect because there are a few subtle things that you have to really look at it.

Stuff like percentage of TD passes per pass attempt. Percentage of interceptions per pass attempt.

And of course, average yards gained per pass attempts, etc.

All of those factors are pretty low for Cassel right now.

Pitoitua’s Multi-Sack Day: DE Ropati Pitoitua recorded the first multi-sack performance of his career with 2.0 sacks (-10.0 yards) of San Diego QB Philip Rivers. The sacks are his first QB takedowns as a member of the Chiefs. He now has 3.0 sacks for his career.

Hali’s Sack: LB Tamba Hali recorded his first sack of the season (-10.0 yards). The sack gives him 54.5 career sacks. He has recorded 9.5 sacks against San Diego in his career, all coming against QB Philip Rivers.

Charles’ Multi-Touchdown Day: In today’s game, RB Jamaal Charles recorded a 37-yard rushing touchdown and a 13-yard touchdown pass from QB Matt Cassel. It was the first game of Charles’ career in which he recorded at least one rushing and one receiving touchdown in the same game. It was the fourth multi-touchdown game of his career. Charles recorded a kickoff return for a touchdown and a touchdown reception vs. Pittsburgh (11/22/09), he ran for two touchdowns at Denver (1/3/10), and he caught two touchdown passes vs. Tennessee (12/26/10). Charles led all Chiefs rushers with 17 carries for 92 yards (5.4 avg.).

Cassel Passing Leader in First Four Games: With 251 passing yards today, QB Matt Cassel has accumulated 1,058 passing yards in the first four games of the season. That mark ranks him first in franchise history for most passing yards during the first four games of the season. He breaks QB Joe Montana’s record of 1,054 yards in the first four games of the 1994 season.

Bowe Goes for 100: WR Dwayne Bowe caught seven passes for 108 yards (15.4 avg.) and a 29-yard touchdown in today’s contest. It was his second 100-yard receiving performance of the season. The touchdown reception was his third of the season and his 39th career receiving touchdown.

Flowers’ Interception: CB Brandon Flowers registered his first interception of the season. The takeaway was his 14th career interception. It was his second career interception of San Diego QB Philip Rivers.

Colquitt’s Punting Average: P Dustin Colquitt booted four punts for 205 yards (51.3 gross, 51.3 net), with three inside the 20-yard line in today’s contest. His 51.3 net average is his highest net average for the season and ties for the second-highest net average performance in his career. His career best is a 52.0 net average performance at Indianapolis (10/10/10).

Arenas Moves Up Career Return Chart: With three punt returns for 39 yards (13.0 avg.), CB Javier Arenas has 81 punt returns for 865 yards in his career. That moves him into third place in Chiefs history for highest career punt return average with a 10.68 yards per return average. He moves past J.T. Smith (10.60) and Tamarick Vanover (10.66) for fourth and third, respectively.

CHIEFS RECORD BOOK

HIGHEST PUNT RETURN AVERAGE, CAREER (Min. 50 Punt Returns)

1. 11.11 Noland Smith (53-589) 1967-69

2. 10.87 Abner Haynes (54-587) 1960-64

3. 10.68 Javier Arenas (81-865) 2010-12

4. 10.66 Tamarick Vanover (181-1,930) 1995-99

5. 10.60 J.T. Smith (216-2,289) 1978-84

6. 10.01 Dante Hall (188-1,882) 2000-06

Lilja’s Milestone Game: G Ryan Lilja appeared in his 100th career NFL game (93 starts). In his 100th career game, he made his first-career start at center, filling in for an injured C Rodney Hudson, who was placed on injured reserve with a knee injury.

It is all just a post game notes. The Chiefs orginization is not bragging or patting Cassel on the back.

The funny thing is that Pioli doesn't understand is he would be more likely save his ass if he benches cassell asap and go with Quinn. He needs to admit a mistake and not make the fans feel like he is undermining our intelligence. He is a ****ing and idiot moran.

JFC this franchise is the definition of epic fail.

The only thing Cassel's "record" proves is that the Chiefs QB play has been a flaming dumpster fire since Len Dawson retired.
