Yeah, so I saw a lot of movies this weekend.

Elizabeth: The Golden Age - Mediocre, at best. Slow and dragged on. Shorten it to 2 hours and it's golden. It's not, so it fails.

Michael Clayton - Amazing. Everything about it is awesome. However, it's VERY complex and mind bending. You have to think, so be prepared. I still feel like I'm missing key details of exactly what happened. Gotta see it again.

Across the Universe - Perfect is one word that comes to mind. It just works. And, contrary to many people I bet, the movie is best viewed sober. Trust me.

Shutter Island was pretty good, but not great (perhaps that's because my expectations of a Scorcese/Leo collaboration are pretty high). Like Jenson, I guessed the movie's ending early on. Still, it was an enjoyable experience, so I'd recommend watching it.

The Wolfman was a waste of time. There wasn't a single element of the movie that was scary. It was just boring and bad and I had no reason to be invested in any of the characters or their relationships.

Zombieland was amazing. One of my favorite movies of the year. Highly recommended. Especially loved the cameo by a certain famous comedian.

(500) Days of Summer was good, but it wasn't a revelation. I could understand why Joseph Gordon Levitt was so in love with Summer. He should have known better. But I still liked the movie overall and the way it told the story.

I've heard that a lot. Very disappointing. I had high hopes.

True Romance is a great one. Law Abiding Citizen had entertaining factors in it, only worth a rent, I agree with that.

this one is a 10, like all Wes Anderson's movies.
Great for kids and adults.

I've been a fan of hers for a while. Yes, she was quite hawt in that movie. She was only 26 when that came out.

I watched it and it went over my head, not in a 'I don't get it' kind of way, but more of a mutual agreement within myself that the movie is probably better than I thought it was. I like stalk and slash, this is more of a thinker and a feeler.

Saw The Crazies yesterday.

Interesting concept, not a huge fan of the ending. I really enjoyed it, but I thought I'd like it more.

OK, I just read that and I'm having second thoughts. As for my wife, she didn't even like Donnie Darko and it was like Shirley Temple singing On The Good Ship Lollipop compared to this.
