Seems like a safe bet he'll be available next year. I wanted this guy BAD earlier in the year, but now I think not. We have, for the most part, rid ourselves of our malcontent scumbags, and I don't think Dillon would be a good mix for our (or anyone's) team chemistry.

Still think we should get a premier back, but that we should look elsewhere.

Opinions?

Agreed...If this stable of backs does not turn up with a keeper, as much as I hate to, we should go back to the draft and get one of the studs that will be coming out. To name a few: Travis Henry(TEN), Deuce McCallister(Ole Miss), L.Tomlinson(TCU), and I also like Foster from UCLA...I am not very impressed with Jordan out of Maryland, he was very highly rated in most NFL pre-draft reports but he doesn't look like much to me. I like Travis Henry the best of those that will be coming out. Michael Bennent from Wisconsin has looked awesome, but I think he is only a JR with no current intentions of leaving early.

I really like Dillion's play but I know first hand he is/was a bad guy (G-Friend ran track at UW with him). Now, a person can change and grow up but sometime the bad is just too deep. I don't know if he can stay clean. The crowd he kept in college was BAD. Has it changed? I don't know. The fact he still lives in Seattle in the off season doesn't sound good to me.

The problem is drafting a back who pans out is very tough. I've watched Thomas Jones all year and he's looked bad. I realize the O Line is shakey but trust me he's not making plays when they are possible. Do I want Dillion? I don't know. This summer I did...

I wouldn't want him anymore either. As already pointed out, there is no need for malcontents. I still want Dillon the player (or someone with his ability), but not Dillon the person.

AZ,

Everyone who has carried the ball for the Cards this past decade has looked horrible...I don't think it is the backs but just a tradionally horrible O line and complete losers mentality running through the whole franchise...Garrison Hearst is a good example, turned out to be a excellent back but it wasn't until he got out of that dump.

True, but if I could take either Card back right now I think I'd take Michael Pittman. They both had terrible games vs. Greenbay but he is a much tougher runner. Thomas Jones has been "pitter patting" to the hole since he signed. I saw him up at Cards Camp in Flag and the coaches were yelling at him even then. He hasn't lost this trait...

However, he seems like a really good person!

I vote no, and say give Kubiak two million a year to bring those offensive schemes of his here. I bet one of our backs would be a stud in his system with 25 carries a game.

I was pushing for the Dillon deal as hard as anyone before the start of the season, but after further review......I will have to change the call on the field. He seems to have the work ethic of a sloth and as someone pointed out, he could be a cancer in the locker room. We darn sure need to get some one in here to run the ball by next season though. This gig we have now ain't going to cut it! RBBC blows..........

Wow. No dissenting opinions. I guess Dillon's BS has disenchanted everyone else as well.

Hope we look elsewhere (my apologies to Cody).

I see I spoke too soon. Oh well, if we always agreed life would be boring.

Must get to work early, so I'm outta here. Goodnight.

NO Dillon.

I used to be a major proponent of attempting to add Dillon but no more. He took himself out of the Bungles game this past week against his coaches wishes. Also, I believe Dillon's skills have declined or he just does not play hard. His speed and power are not what they used to be. He looks pitiful so far this season.

I honestly don't remember ever wanting Dillon. And after his Pippin routine, I want him even less. Moreau WILL develop, given the opportunity and blocking.
