Green Mile's Doug Hutchison, 51, Marries Aspiring Country Singer, 16

Age is just a number?

Green Mile actor Doug Hutchison and his new wife, Courtney Alexis Stodden, certainly think so. The 51-year-old actor said "I do" to the 16-year-old aspiring country star on May 20 in Las Vegas.

"We're aware that our vast age difference is extremely controversial," the couple told E! Online. "But we're very much in love and want to get the message out there that true love can be ageless."

According to Hutchison's website, "Mr. and Mrs. Hutchison live together happily ensconced in their Hollywood Hills home with their lil' pups Everette and Tuna!"

According to the Clark County, Nevada Marriage Bureau (as excerpted by PopEater) both marriage license applicants must be at least 18 years of age. This means one of Stodden's parents gave legal permission for their daughter to marry Hutchison, who is 35 years older than her.

She is known to favour the most shortest of miniskirts in existence.

But Courtney Stodden lengthened the hemlines for a red-carpet appearance at the Jayden-Suede event at SIX01 Studio in Downtown Los Angeles on Saturday night.

However, the 18-year-old still could not help but flash some flesh, busting out of her very low-cut variance of the scarlet gown, which was also slashed to the thigh.

Courtney also couldn't help but put on an over-the-top public display of affection with her much older husband Doug Hutchison, 52.

The pair could hardly keep their lips nor hands off one another as they posed for pictures.

While his wife was glammed up to an inch of her life, Doug opted for his usual uniform consisting of a pair of baggy jeans, a tight-fitting T-shirt and leather jacket.

The Green Mile actor was left with lipstick marks all over his face after the pair's full-on kissing action.

Courtney had worn lashings of red lipstick on her pout and had her platinum blonde tresses out in a loose wave.

During the event, Courtney offered some advice to Modern Family star Ariel Winters after the latter's mother claimed the young actress was becoming involved with an 18-year-old.

Courtney, who married actor Doug when she was just 16, was asked if she had any advice for Ariel if the accusation is true.

Not realising who the star was at first, her husband explained all to a disorientated-seeming Stodden before the RadarOnline crew explained the age gap love affair allegation.

That caught Stodden's attention, who can be seen in a video of the conversation answering brightly: 'I think that's amazing, they should get married!'

Winter's mother Chrystal Workman has denied physically abusing her daughter and claims the youngster is lying because her mother would not let her engage in a sexual act with the 18-year-old man.

Workman claims that she caught Ariel in bed 'engaging in behaviour' that she feels was inappropriate for her young age and as her mother, she just wants to protect her.

While Chrystal has not identified the identity of Ariel's 18-year-old boyfriend, she has filed a report with the LA County Sheriff's Department that could open an investigation of statutory rape.
