No. He's under contract, so you don't have to pay him to do what he's supposed to do anyway. It's called being a professional, and if he doesn't perform then the Chiefs could claim they don't owe him on the rest of the contract, AND he'll get a very black mark against him that will circulate around the league. Very bad idea.
