I decided to try Danny Edwards' Boulevard BBQ a couple of weeks ago. I was far from impressed. I got their combo plate substituting burnt ends for the ham. The chicken sucked, and the ribs were not much better. The sliced beef was ok and the burnt ends were actually decent. The only reason I may go back would be to grab a burnt end sandwich.

Wabash BBQ in Excelsior Springs, Mo. hands down my favorite. Then Smokehouse, OK Joes and Rosedale.

Not a bad thing, with the décor of that place I considered it part of the charm.

I had carry out from Rosedale last night. Turkey sandwich and crinkle cut fries. And took home a bottle of sauce. Very tasty, reasonable price, and my waitress was as nice as she could be. Maybe Sedated just hit one having a bad day?

I got the feeling she had been there for 50 years and had put up with so much BS that she no longer gave a f^^k. Reminded me of a small town diner or coffee shop waitress, and every customer is a regular and knows that she has an edge to her. Like I said, part of the charm.

I love that place great lunch spot. Beef on a bun Fries and a Large R/C. My favorite fries anywhere the sauce really dips good with also. Evening I get a slab of short ends fries sauce on the side and a cold Bud. Back when Kansas was 18 drinking age me and my partners in crime would would start the evening off there and they sold quart beer. Then was over to Crazy Bob and Haddy's was a private club but we knew Bob and he would let us in. Good times for some punk ass kids.

There should be a tournament like Rainman's Sceneit tournament to determine the best bbq meal in the area.

I think it might be fun to reset the poll and see how the BBQ list comes out now. I don't have rights to reset the poll to 0. Is this something worth doing? Let me know and I'll see if its technical possible.

Yes, I agree that it's worth doing. Or you could just make a new one.

I was visiting KC this summer and went to Zarda's. I asked for smoked turkey and they looked at me like I was nuts. So I got the chicken. Sucked.
I know KC is awesome for its bar b q, but what's up with that? Do they only know how to cook beef and pork? And where the hell is the sweet potato side dish?
