Alex Smith Traded to Chiefs

Well, it looks like the deal is done.

Jay Glazer @JayGlazer
49ers have completed a trade with the Chiefs for Alex Smith, tho can't be official til March 12. Chiefs really made a commitment to Smith

Jay Glazer @JayGlazer
Deal has been agreed upon between Chiefs and 49ers. Compensation unclear but I'm told again Chiefs have made a clear commitment to Smith.

Over 2011 and 2012 (his so called best years)

3231 yards

7.5 INTs

Over the those two years.....he averaged only 26 attempts per game.

Definition of ****ing average.
Go back and look at the other QB's in the league at that time period and tell me he is not above average you moron. If you are merely talking about yardage, then yes, I will agree. But throwing for 4,000+ yards means nothing if you are throwing 20 picks.

Honestly man, I was just as pissed off as these guys when Jim Harbaugh decided to bring back Alex, but after watching alex play for a few weeks I started to change my tune.

I think harbaugh is better with QB's than reid, but reid is in the same league of guys that see things most people don't.

This isn't about a one year stopgap, moron.

So to keep your sucky team from sucking you want to draft a quarterback with a second round grade first overall and throw him into the league without much talent around him or time to learn, along with 10 other guys trying to learn the new system, and you think that is going to win football games????
What don't you ****ing tools get about winning a Super Bowl? Alex Smith will not win a Super Bowl. If the Niners felt he could, they wouldn't have drafted Kaepernick. All signing Smith does is delay the inevitable; a regime change and a new QB. It's years wasted, and this franchise has already wasted 30 years with retread QB's. We don't want to do this anymore.

Get it now, **** stick?

Averaging 20 TDs a year is above average?

If all you care about is the fact that he averaged 10 INTs a year....then you ****ers deserve a game manager at QB.

Is Vick prime example of that? I like that we got Reid. I just hope we didn't get him too late.

Every team wants that. It's not like they grow on trees. And the draft has not happened yet. I bet you still end up with another one for a long term solution.

#NFL Source indicated this morning #Chiefs are likely to get a 2013 (5-7th) round draft pick back from #49ers as part of the Smith trade!
