Let's Do This: Boondock Saints
Do you like this movie or not?
Why or why not? I'll start the discussion: I did not like the movie. It's been a couple years, so fill me in if I'm misunderstanding something, but a small handful of drunken assholes decide to take the law into their own hands, which is done through minimal investigation, and then overnight turn into flawless, professional assassins. Batman did it better, methinks. Tell me why I'm either right, or an asshat. THERE IS NO IN BETWEEN. |

Dafoe killed it for me. Otherwise a fine movie, nothing spectacular, but his over-the-top performance in his scenes really grated on my nerves.

You can understand cutting corners on a small budget flick. It can't be ****ing Die Hard. But I'm thinking they had 3 times the budget for II and still ****ed it up...

I understand your hatred for artsy/overly-cerebral flicks.
And they really didn't do a good job (in the theatrical cut) of explaining what the **** was going on. The Director's cut is much better, explains a lot more, and you don't leave with 20 questions about what actually happened. I know the whole religion/private school thing isn't your cup of tea but that was the 30 something audience he was going for...

Sheesh, what's with the Willem Dafoe hate? He's the funniest part of the movie.
And yes, that includes Rocko's joke |
