This team hasn’t played much different on the road the last couple seasons than at home.

True but that stretch in November-December with 4 out of 5 games on the road is pretty rough even with the Texans thrown in there. I think Lovie Smith will have the Texans playing competitive football.

Not bad. First half of the season is kind of rough, but the second half is MUCH easier.

Has to be the hardest schedule in many years.

Week 1. The midget qb with no Hopkins and a bullseye on him by Chenal. I see us pulling away early. 1-0

Week 2. Gonna be a good game that we have a good chance to win if we don’t beat ourselves. I think we match up to them very well, personally. It will be a great early test for our young back 7. Short week and they have the burden of travel after what’s sure to be a draining opener against LV. 2-0

Week 3. Extra time to prepare for a team without a QB. I pencil this in as a W, but Indy always plays us close. 3-0

Week 4. Tom Brady will have his troops prepared for a 12 round heavyweight fight in this one and even though our young secondary makes some plays in this one, their early season lack of thorough communication will be tested by the best pocket passer, possibly of all time with laser focus for this specific matchup. 3-1

Week 5. After the matchup with Brady, the secondary comes out loaded for bear against LV. Carrs mascara will be running down his face by the end of this heartbreaker for LV. Sneed on Adams, McDuffie on Renfrow, Fenton on Bryan Edwards all seem like they have the makings for a great game of matchups. I won’t be the least bit surprised to see McDaniels sit Carr down late in this one for Stidham if Carr isn’t lighting the world on fire by that point. 4-1

Week 6. This should be an instant classic. By this time, Mahomes will have chemistry with at least 3 of the WRs and will have Kelce and the backs out there to eat up free yards underneath all day. I think this is a game we will see Skyy Moore BREAK OUT. Something like 8 catches for 135 yards and 2 scores kind of game. He and Mahomes will be clicking and as the defenses adjust, Pat is going to go into God mode. On defense, this will be another HUGE test for the back 7. Buffalos receivers and tight ends are good and deep. They will try to find thexweak spot to attack on the defense and will have some success, but they aren’t expecting Leo Chanel to chin check Josh Allen early and often, taking away his ability to run with the ball without consequence is a game changer. 5-1

Week 7. I expect the 49ers game to be easier than most think, TBH. Trey Lance will likely be their starter and I think we have the nessesary tools on defense to make him have a long day. 6-1

Week 8 is the perfect time to have what is surely a much needed bye week to rest and recover after a tough and physical early stretch. It’s also time tge coaches need to prepare the final game plan to not get depantsed again by Vrabel.

Week 9. I don’t think Vrabel has the horses to attack us the way he did last year on both sides of the ball. No more Brown is huge for us and Burks will present his own challenges for our defense, but we should be able to smother him and if we do that and hit Henry in the mouth when he gets the ball, I can see CC a game where a spirited Chiefs team is out for blood against a team that embarrased them last year. 7-1

Week 10. Jags have no shot. 8-1

Week 11. I can see a hyped up Chargers team coming out with a lot of energy and focus after losing the earlier matchup and giving us a ruling for our money in a game that can go either way. 8-2

Week 12. This is another close game that can go either way. Lots of elite matchups everywhere at every level. Truly a possible Super Bowl preview. 9-2

Week 13. This year is going to battle test this Chiefs team like no other and this matchup is no different. If we are healthy, we can beat any team in football by this point and Cincinnati has the same ability. Burrow is the real deal and so are his WRs. This game will be decided by the turnover margin and I’ve given enough of these coin flip games to KC. 9-3

Week 14. Denver is a much improved team and will be clicking by this point, if Russ stays healthy. This will be a game we will lose in Denver if we don’t play our best football all 60 minutes. I know that’s cliche, but one or 2 plays are going to be the difference in this one. No room to make uncharacteristic mistakes with what’s likely to be the 1 seed in our sights. 10-3

Week 15. Texans don’t stand a chance. 11-3

Week 16. See week 15. 12-3

Week 17. I see us splitting with Denver this year and gave the first matchup to us so it is what it is. We lose a good game here, but so does the other team trying for the 1 seed. 12-4

Week 18. LV is an improved team, but KC runs them over and rests starters in the second half after destroying LV in the first half. 13-4

1st round bye over Buffalo.

If you travel to Phoenix for week 1, it's the correct time!
