It was a festival lineup without a lot of vision. Cochella and Bonaroo can have acts of a wide variety because they bring in big names. If you're not either of those, then it's best to go with a theme (electronic, hip-hop, jam band, whatever) and go with it until you're so legendary that Jay Z wants to play between the Flaming Lips and Sting Cheese.

All they would have had to do was throw Nickelback in the line-up and all the 98.9 "Johnny Dare just gets me goin in the morning, he's sooooo funny" crowd would have been breaking their chain wallets trying to open them fast enough.
