Sorry if it's a repost, but I'm seeing a lot of talk about this... thought we might centralize the discussion.

This makes me excited.

Well I'm not going to pick up every last uniform and cup I can find and I'm not going to kill everyone in Megaton...

Don't steal stuff in Megaton when someone is watching. Or the whole town will gang up on you.

Sidenote: After i got my house in Megaton i quit selling stuff to eventually have my bartering skills raised to a point where i can buy/sell at a better price.

Yeah, I tried it twice, and let it ride out for like 15 minutes both times, then I looked it up on the internet and found out to save it and re-load it immediately...that worked and I got a move on...

I don't know what kind of game this is called, one where you have to build up attributes and stuff, but I really have no idea which attributes to build up first.

Intelligence is the most important, IMO. But it really depends on how you plan on playing the game. Read the manual for descriptions of what skills each attribute governs.

I read in the screens that better intelligence lets you improve in other attributes faster (more points to dole out at level up time).

And BK, it's an RPG.

This is true. It's also a good idea to take the "Educated" (three levels) perk early. It boosts your skill points received by 10% each time you level up.

Is there a way to look at the World Map and move it up and down/ side to side to see it all?

Yeah Im gonna start over tonight and increase my intelligence and lock-picking (to at least 25) and bomb squad (or whatever its called to at least 25) and I think I'm going to be a good guy.
