Well our best receiver did get hurt for the year the first game. We also have two other four star receivers talented enough to start for most Big12 schools who made their first career starts this year. That would gphave been a very bad gamble. I do think you've got at least a 50-50 shot at Iowa State, though, so you've got a much better than 50-50 chance of winning at least one road game.

A&M just landed Christian Kirk, 5 start WR out of Arizona. I'm sure Beaty was involved as much as anyone getting him there.

His recruiting abilities have never been in question, especially with his Texas ties. We will definitely see an increase in the talent level, the question is whether or not he can coach up these kids so that we see the talent transition to an elevated level of play on the field....
