His acting ruined that film for me. As bad as Jar Jar was, this kid was worse.

Lucas f-ed up by insisting on him and on trying to make a movie that appealed to 10 year olds when his core audience was 20+ at the time.

There's a fan edit out there of Phantom Menace where it omits the dimwitted Jar Jar Binks and Anakin's "hijinks".

I attribute the latter trilogy's suckage to the fact that Lucas can't direct worth a shit and his head is relatively the size of Jupiter.

Horrible writing, horrible casting and the good actors he did get gave horrible performances as a result of his ego's refusal to hand over the reigns.

I used to know a girl who went to college with the "two dollars!" kid from "Better Off Dead". She said he liked to drink a lot and was a bit angry, LOL, especially when classmates would yell at him, "I want my two dollars!"
