I posted a similar thing about 2 weeks ago, I have always given respect to the Chiefs, I've been rooting for them to make the playoffs all year. However, that being said, there are a lot of guys on this board that just say what they say to try and be funny and they come off sounding like idiots sometimes.

oh no doubt every bb has guys that say stupid things, but to those that
want an injury on someone is just plain wrong. LT is the classiest running back i hav ever seen, and to hope for harm on someone like him is just wrong. I would never want ANYONE to get hurt. I'm hoping for an injury free game on sunday. and am hoping that some of you guys dont mean what you say.

I agree that LT is a classy RB. I still hope LJ gets more yards, though. That would mean our O-line will have to come through. I guess we'll see.

As for the "bandwagon" comments:

I've been a Charger fan for twenty-six years (since I started watching football). But what's wrong with a city and community getting excited about a good sports team? I live in San Diego and honestly, I don't know a single "bandwagon" fan here. I have some friends who aren't that interested in football but it's not like they wish the Chargers do bad and yes they do feel the excitement in the city when they do well. I have friends who are Charger fans and sure, they lose some interest when the team does poorly but they don't start rooting for other teams. Perhaps, the general fan here is not as hardcore as in some other cities but there's nothing wrong with that in my opinion. There are still plenty of hardcore Charger fans on various message boards and at the games.

When teams don't do well, they're not so popular. When they do, they gain popularity. This shouldn't be surprising. That's human behavior you're witnessing. You can apply this to just about any sport, any team, any form of entertainment.

I'm a long time lurker and I don't really post here a lot but this thread is very disappointing in the way it has degenerated into childish insults and name calling from both Chargers and Chiefs fans (unless the ones doing that are children). I agree with the Charger fan who posted above that this is something that would be expected from a Raider board but not here.

For years the Chargers where in the celler of the best division in the NFL. And the team was always looked down on by Raider and Bronko fans. But I never got that feal from Chiefs fans. I know becuase I have lurked your board for a few years. I never felt the need to post before becuase I always saw nothing but respect from you guys. I remember threads on here saying how we where the one team in the division you guys did not hate. And when we had our dreadful 1-15 year alot of you actualy said you felt sorry for us. There are plenty of Charger fans that have posted on the bronko and raider boards becuase we hate those two teams and most of their fans. There realy is not that same sence of hate when it comes to the Chiefs. I for one will not gloat over my teams good fortune exept maybe to aragent bronko fans. I for one have no ill will with the chiefs wich is why I never felt the need to post before.
