Of SB winners the past say 10 years, what do a large percent of winning teams and participating teams have in common?
Besides first round CBs of course. |

Even with an undefeated team around him (from the previous season) Matt Cassel couldn't even lead the Patriots to a PLAYOFF BIRTH.
The guy has REGRESSED from then to now and it's plain to see. The time to draft a quarterback was 2007-2009. Now, it's not just a good idea to draft one...it's ****ing mandatory to do so. Pioli isn't the guy to do it, though. Part of me thinks he would purposely chose the worst of the bunch to try and buy Cassel more time to redeem him for his mistake...but that's probably just teedubya talk. After his choices at quarterback in the past (Cassel, Palko, Quinn) I just don't think he is worth being in the drivers seat for another high pick. We need to bring someone in who is, and wants to stake his career on the "right one" If we pick 5th and two teams in front of us wNt a qb, I want a GM that will get this fanbase horny again by making a bold move to trade up and get the best, not settle for "good enough" |

O City you spent a month all during training camp countering all my posts on how good this team would be and how talented it is and how much depth there is and how Pioli is a good drafter and picked apart every time I said someone is shittier than they appear and dont believe the hype and Pioli is overrated.
You shit on me for all of that for a month straight. And now after 2 weeks you are more negative than me. lol |

I agree . .If you get a guy like RGIII it will obviously change the dynamic of any team, but our main problems are on defense and an overall lack of heart and desire to win that starts with upper management and trickles down to the players on the field. . . . this team plays with zero heart
I was impressed with Cassel in week one and with a decent team around him he could be good enough. . but our defense hasnt made a stop all year. . our special teams sucks. . our o-line isnt blocking. . our coaches are calling shit plays . .we are giving peyton hillis way to many touches. . How do you expect Cassel to perform well. . yes hes not an elite QB but neither was trent dilfer .. our defense is pathetic. . from the play calling to the tackling... to derrick johnson just jumping into a pile every time he blitzes and hoping something happens. . Eric Berry is living off his name in college and has yet to prove he is an NFL caliber player. . Tamba Hali is exciting and has moments of greatness, but i think he is overrated and seems to disappear when it really matters. . this team will win 6-8 games this year and we will draft another useless player and we will release anyone who has talent and wants to be paid for it. . the players know that if they go out and do their job and play well and then ask to be paid for it they will be shown the door. . so they are looking to play well individulaly so they could move on to another team. . but they dont care about winning. . so keep buyuing those season tickets and those eric berry and tamba hali jerseys. . and get used to a team that does just enough to put fans in the seats. . |

I mean, just look at the Cardinals. They didn't even know who their QB was going to BE two weeks ago. Now they're 2 and 0 and just beat New England.
