But... I saw the original Halloween not too long ago. I don't think it stands the test of time. Blasphemy... I know. I think if this is done right, it could be great.

There aren't many new ideas these days. And anyway, that's not what what Rob Zombie's about. Everything he does is an homage to the movies he loved (and scared him) as a kid.

I'd like to see him take everything that he has soaked in through the years and come up with some new stuff. For a fan of the old horror movies you'll see the influences in his work. The best homage is that quality in his work that you can't help notice because it became a part of him. IMHO of course.

Actually I didn't think Devil's Rejects was all that great. It was OK. I watched it and enjoyed it but the film lost momentum in the motel and never really cranked it back up. I was entertained though.
