Sigh. YouTube will no longer be available on Firesticks
Just got the message on my Firestick when I fired it up. Amazon and YouTube are battling each other and the consumer gets the shaft.

Chromecast is way better. Unfortunately if you have Prime Video you cant cast because Google and Amazon are having a dick measuring contest. You can mirror but that sucks.

Why do you like fire over roku? I bought both a year ago or so and unplugged fire after a couple days to try roku. Never touched the content-biased fire again.

KODI. You can't run it on Roku. It gives you access to all available movie and TV content for free. You also get the leverage to install whatever Android app you want, regardless if it's Amazon approved. Which is why this thread is a complete nonstarter. All you have to do is sideload a different version of the Youtube android app, and away you go. Roku is quite limited in that regard.
