Food everyone else loves, but you think is overrated
Just thinking about foods that everyone else seems to think is the greatest thing ever, and you just don't get...

Me: Nutella. I'd never tried it until today when someone at the grocery store had samples of those little snack packs. So I tried it. It's not bad, but it's certainly overrated.

So I'm trying to think of other things like this. What do you have for me?

I have had a lot of people tell me that the ribs at a place here in town called the rib and chop house are "fantastic." I tired one and thought they were ok at best. When you know you can smoke something that tastes 10x as good as what you're eating it's a disappointment.

Am I the only person who has never been to Starbucks? I hear it's pricey for one, but can you just get a cup of coffee that's unadulterated? I prefer 100% Colombian served piping hot.

I love Starbucks. They have a Colombian that is excellent if you follow the package directions. I also like their Cafe Verona. I keep it in the house along with my gourmet Blue Mountain Jamaican from Costco. I like to switch 'em around.

I'd have to say number one on my list is Sushi as well. It is likely that Sushi is the worst thing I've ever put in my mouth.

Another would be fried eggs, in any form other than hard or scrambled. That slimy, awful, uncooked yolk... what do people like about that?


I also am not fond of beer. I drink it on occasion, but I much prefer liquor or wine.


My opinion on coffee is that, if you want a great coffee make it from a French press using fresh Columbian beans you grind yourself.
