So, what did Hayseed Sawyer whisper into Kate's ear?

And, how about an insane idea: Jack is Jacob.

Belief is a huge part of the island. Walt always believed.

Locke believes, Sawyer (reluctantly) believes, so did Heroin Boy.

Echo did not have faith, he had guilt. While they tend to go hand in hand they are not the same.

No faith.

Both belive in the tangible only. Think of the movie "The Sphere."

He wasn't supposed to be there any more than Aron.

The people still on the island have hope. The Oceanic 6 are all in one stage of denial or another.

Because she didn't know where she was or who (for sure, and when) she was with.

Plus, she's a crazy ****ing frog.

They were the next epoch. I'm guessing. There were hints to Norse mythology this episode. There were also purposeful mispronunciations of names to mimic old testament Angels.

He (Ben, think Greek/Roman mythology) was being punished. His crime is hubris. Hell, he reeks of a Loki allusion.

Nope.

We don't know why he is, only that he's greedy for it.

The writers have basically threw all kinds of shit against the wall to see what sticks.
I was with you at season 3. That's when I'd hit the wall and gave up. Right near the end of season 4 a coworker begged me to watch it and I got back into it.

I really think the end of 2 and most of 3 were filler. It wasn't well done and is very losely tied to what's going on...

I dont like how Ben was a total bastard, and killed that Keamy guy, so quickly.

He willingly went ape shit, and perhaps didn't have to.

Then, he was soooo crass about it.

I was like "what a murderous bastard".

He has no more emotion than you would if you'd watched your neighbor die 100x and you knew it had to happen.

He's ambivalent.

I don't think he went nuts, I think it was somehow calculated. And then he was so cold when Locke said he had killed everyone on the ship. He just said "So?"

And exactly who is still on the island, and who died when the freighter exploded? They keep talking about protecting the people that were left behind, but other than Sawyer and Juliette, what other principals were left?

I don't believe anybody is dead until I see a body. And in Locke's case, not even then.

It also explains why no one in our world has been able to discover Atlantis: It's been moving throughout time.

Whatever may be the case, they've assuredly set it up so that it's either extra-terrestrials or an ancient civilization that initially unlocked the power of the "island.".

If the island can travel as it pleases in space/time why would it have to be from the past?...
