Orton moves on to feud with Cenar and Edge against CM Punk.
Punk can't do the Edge-style MITB switch again without turning heel. It worked the first time because it was Edge getting a taste of his own medicine, but Punk doing it again would just make him look like a... punk.

Thinking about it this morning, the move may be great for Punk. He's out from under Cena, HHH and Batista, and the only main event faces (that I can think of) on Smackdown are Misterio and Jeff Hardy. Just have to get past the whole 'b-show' perception.

I think the smart thing to do with him is book him strong for 6 months and then have him actually win the title clean from edge after cashing in, make every effort to turn him into a main eventer.

But I still think he's the first to cash in and lose.

I totally forgot this was today:
Quote:
WWE supplemental draft coverage: DUOS RAVAGED AND REPAIRED

By Bryan Alvarez

Mr. Kennedy has been drafted from Smackdown (yes, he was on Smackdown) to Raw.

Shad Gaspard from Raw to Smackdown, so Cryme Tyme is broken up.

Alicia Fox from ECW to Smackdown, so Fox and DJ Gabriel are broken up.

Primo Colon from Smackdown to Raw. They're speculating about what happens now that the Unified Tag Team Champions are broken up.

Mike Knox to Smackdown from Raw.

Ezekiel Jackson from Smackdown to ECW, breaking up his team with Brian Kendrick.

Nikki Bella to Raw, so Vince is on a tandem rampage today. And yes, they did an online-only angle to put them back together just last week, and now they're split up again.

Candace Michelle, who is still employed, from Raw to Smackdown.

Zach Ryder (Edge Geek) from Smackdown to ECW. Are there any other teams left on the entire roster aside from Priceless? Update: Jesse and Festus are still together as well. Who wants to bet one of them is next?

Chavo Guerrero from Smackdown to Raw. I guess he couldn't push Vickie's wheelchair anymore unless he was officially drafted.

Ricky Ortiz from ECW to Smackdown. So the love affair with Tiffany that they totally forgot about is also officially broken up.

And the HUGE 12TH AND FINAL DRAFT PICK IS...

... Layla to Smackdown from Raw, so her and Regal are broken up.

BUT WAIT! THERE IS APPARENTLY MORE!

Hornswaggle from ECW to Raw, destroying a family.

Keep in mind that the storyline here is that the GM are CHOOSING these wrestlers. So yes, Vickie Guerrero figured that Hornswaggle was significantly more valuable to Raw than, say, THE UNDERTAKER.

YAY DRAFT.

DH Smith from Florida Championship Wrestling to ECW. With Tyson Kidd already there, we could conceivably see the CREATION of a tag team. How novel.

John Morrison to Smackdown from ECW. This is a win.

And the Unified Tag Team Champions are spared after all -- Carlito from Smackdown to Raw to defend against, well, the one tag team left on Raw.

We've still got like ten picks left. Maybe they'll drag out Kid Rock to play another concert here in a bit.

Natalya from ECW to ECW.

Jesse and Festus DOWN~! Festus to Raw from Smackdown.

Five picks remain.

JTG from Raw to Smackdown. Cryme Tyme fan rejoice.

A great moment from COREY CLAYTON, the WWEuniverse.com guy who is hosting the supplemental draft: "Cryme Tyme vs. Colons. Should be a good match. Oops, Colons on Raw ... but they should still get a chance if Primo and Carlito visit SD once in a while as Unified Champs."

YAY DRAFT~!

Dolph Ziggler from Raw to Smackdown.

They just announced there are four more picks to go. My math sucks but I could have sworn five minus two equals three. Sounds like they're making this up as they go along here.

The Brian Kendrick from Smackdown to Raw.

Charlie Haas from Raw to Smackdown.

Hurricane Helms from Smackdown (last I checked) to ECW.

And the real FINAL DRAFT PICK IS...

Brie Bella to Raw, meaning the twins in a single month been together, broken up, put back together, broken up and put back together again. That may be a record trumping Edge and Vickie and Kurt and Karen.

We now return you to your regularly-scheduled WWE programming where none of this matters much.

And the draft sucks as usual, aside from Morrison going to smackdown.

I also completely forgot it, and was about to post the results. I marked out for Helms going to ECW, and Bryan is completely right about their utter reerunation regarding the tag division. One or two splits could be a BIG DEAL~!, but only if (a) more than one or two tag teams mattered at a time and (b) every single tag team isn't split.

I could make a big SUPERSTARS DEBUTS TONIGHT thing, but why bother?

The WWE will never understand that a properly booked undercard will draw.

They treat their shows with the 5 guy idea that the world title and the 5 maineventers are all anyone cares about and everything else is just filler or designed to amuse Vince.

How much capital would it take to create a national wrestling organization that could compete with the E?

Say you give each guy a 4-5 day a week schedule for 3 weeks a month, so they've got 16-19 days off a month, and a month long "off season" after the end of the year-concluding show, plus you provide them with basic medical coverage for themselves and their families.

Far to much....you'd basically have to be willing to lose significant money for 5-10 years just to get off the ground.

The biggest problem with trying to be in wrestling right now is as TNA shows they get about a 1 every week so that's the open audience...Alot of WWE viewers are loyal to the WWE product and most people who were into WCW or ECW just don't watch wrestling anymore.

Yeah, and that's what really blows. What initially drew me away from the WWF to WCW in late '95 and early '96, then kept me watching Nitro for years, was the awwwwesome undercard. I was such a little pre-smark.

Now there isn't even a cruiserweight division to hold your interest, just a bunch of people who never have a shot of being above the midcard for various reasons. You'd think seeing how over Evan Bourne got in all of three minutes on ECW and Raw would open their eyes a little.
