CD burner problems
I've got a separate CD burning drive on my HP that's not working correctly right now. This is an old computer, but it's never had a problem with the CD burner.... it still seems to work fine as long as you use the CD-Writer Plus software that came with the computer. The problem with that is that it's so old it doesn't allow you to burn mp3's to CD, so I've always used programs like RealPlayer to do that without a problem. Well recently RealPlayer hasn't been working, so I downloaded DeepBurner. Neither one wants to work. If I try burning with RealPlayer, it just seems to get frozen at the beginning of writing the table of contents, and I just have to restart the computer to be able to eject the CD I'm trying to burn. If I use DeepBurner, it'll seemingly burn the tracks but freeze when it is supposed to eject the CD... once again I'll have to restart the computer to get the drive to eject, and usually I end up with a CD that has all the tracks, but the tracks aren't completely burned, it just kinda randomly stops and moves on to the next track right in the middle of the one that's playing. Since the CD Writer Plus software works fine, I guess it's obviously some kinda problem working between that other software and the hardware, but I really haven't had to mess with these CD burners much, so anybody that could give me an idea of how to fix the problem so I can burn mp3 CD's again, it would be appreciated. Thanks.
