Zack Greinke fan club gathers here
This is kid has swagger. He stand calmly on the mound, unshakable, staring hitters down. And, if they get out of line....he throws it at their fuggin' chin! His pitches are sick, at times sicker than his brain. I fear that if someone charges the mound, he'll beat 'em lifeless with the home plate umpire's mask.

I was down on the kid when we first got him. Though I realized part of his failure was Baird haning the team on a 20 yr old rookie. But when they moved him to the Pen a few years ago I really started to see hope for him. Last year I was praying we locked him up. The Roylas have 2 good starters. If Davies and Hochevar can work out we really have one hell of a starting rotation.

He's a great young pitcher. I think he's going to be good for several years to come.

If he is too good he will just end up playing for the Yankees for 25M a year.

I like the dude because he has that almost "ebby calvin laloosh" quality. Like at any point he'll bean a mascot, laugh about it then turn around with the filthiest 60mph curve you've ever seen. |

The Royals need some bats in a bad way. Because Meche and Greinke are too good for their stuff to go to waste. You can't win every game 2-0.
The way these guys pitched in the first two games, and the fact they've pitched like this for long stretches before this year, is phenomenal. If they had just some run support, they'd be talked about as elite pitchers in the AL. |
