the planeteers really want this to be a big deal but the fact is, the Broncos are dealing with each employee accordingly. Besides, it's not like someone killed their girlfriend and then drove to Dove Valley and offed themselves in the parking lot. I mean, who would ever do something like that?

They showed Heckert and Russell that they cared about them as human beings and were willing to provide them access to top notch treatment so they could fix any problems they may have with alcohol. Just firing them would be the easy way out and could cause their lives to spiral out of control.
