ESPN Radio Insults Chiefs
So, I'm driving to little Caesar's to get the kids some pizza and listening to 610 Sports. Commercials come on so I hit the preset button to 810 to hear Sean Salisbury say

"The Chiefs are pathetic. If they win 5 games this year, they should stand on their heads till their ears turn red. This team is just pathetic. The Raiders will blow them out!"

Eric Allen added, "3-4 wins this year - 5 will be an achievement for this team."

While I realize that Herm's slow start is problematic (yes, Herm, the pre season DOES matter), the situation is nowhere near as bad as these guys make it out. If we do beat Oakland or make the playoffs, we need to remind ESPN radio's illustrious commentators of their week-burial of the 2007 Chiefs. I think ALL these problems are fixable and that KC will recover nicely during that fat mid-season part of the schedule when we have a lot of home games.

Don't compare that to Denver. That Denver team was outstanding, there's no shame in that loss.

This team got owned and completely destroyed by the Houston Texans.

Honestly I've been watching all these games no team looked worse than the Chiefs. So I can see why they'd say that. Well Atlanta was pretty close, them and us looked the worst.

The only way this season is a bust is if Huard gets injured.
I saw a lot of positives:
  • The D held Houston to 13 points on the road
  • Bowe looks great
  • MacIntosh is a house at OLT and kept Huard's blind side safe
  • LJ will be back at 100% soon
  • The running game looked very strong, converting 3rd downs
  • Huard will be fine - bad bounces hurt him today
