49ers have completed a trade with the Chiefs for Alex Smith, tho can't be official til March 12. Chiefs really made a commitment to Smith

Deal has been agreed upon between Chiefs and 49ers. Compensation unclear but I'm told again Chiefs have made a clear commitment to Smith.

Alex Smith was a perfect bridge to not sucking. I'm fed up with "not sucking."

I've missed about 1/2 the Sunday's in the Alex Smith era, possibly a little more, because I know they're not going to beat a great team in the playoffs.

Ultimately, yeah, you can say that.

As pointed out, teams like the Falcons and Panthers and Packers and Steelers had a chance because they had the QB needed.

Some of you are just ****ing miserable to be miserable. I'm sorry that you think NFL teams just stop sucking overnight. I'm sorry you can't find any joy in wins on Sunday in the Fall because they won't win a game against a great team in January and/or February.

Yeah, Alex Smith was the perfect bridge to respectability, which is what needed to happen. I enjoyed wins over the last 4 years - even if they were "meaningless" as you point out.

The only QB this regime passed on was Carr, and while that was a big mistake, people still saying they would have taken Geno, yet while complaining about "not wanting to suck" is rich.

The Chiefs finally got it right with Mahomes.

I disagree. He's a solid backup QB like Foles and can win you those easy-medium games when the starter goes down (in the right system). He has too much baggage and coaches don't want the distraction

Being 100% honest as a person who has seen their careers, the only season Alex has looked more capable is 2015. Some of Alexs numbers look good because of the abnormal amount of short throws, but i can guarantee you CK7 wins the Pitt playoff game. He looked better this season with the worst team in football if you watched instead of reading stats.
