2013 NFL Sunday Ticket + Alternatives
I know we had this thread last year, but things change every year so I thought I'd post this.

I've been with DirecTV for about 6 years now for the Ticket, but I can't afford it anymore. So I thought I'd see what things we learn as we negotiate, work around the Ticket, and find ways to watch our Chiefs games out of market as affordable as possible.

I know there's a promotion with Madden 25. What else is there this year?

Ok, I just called DTv back and went straight to cancellation dept. I started asking questions about my contract date and if I had to pay termination fees. Then they asked why, I calmly told them how my last call went and how they just didnt care and I was looking at ALL my options. Very soon after, I was offered a $100 VISA card to apply to my NFLT. Now Im paying $60 for NFLT.

That's weird. I had been nursing along an old R10 DirecTivo unit for years. It was finally too far gone last summer so I called to see what they could do to upgrade us into some HD equipment.

We ended up getting a Genie DVR, ST for free, $15/month off the bill for a year to offset the $49 they had to charge for the Genie, free Showtime for 3 months and some oddball credits that I don't fully remember right now. It was a pretty nice deal.

I guess they ran out of ****s to give over the last year.
