Well, at least they won't have Tharpe's defense holding them back any longer. One less weak link on it in that regard. Perry is still on the team, though.

15 assists is 225 minutes played just doesn't speak naturally talented PG to me.

The top pick in the NBA draft didn't finish well either. It's the fact that Mason already has the ability to create opportunities for himself and others already that is important. The finishing at the basket can and undoubtedly will be improved upon.

While that may be true, it's pretty irrelevant to me what either did in high school against a bunch of scrubs. We've had a year to look at what their capabilities are against much higher competition and Mason is the one who showed a ton more skills in many different areas.

Not even close.
Okay... we'll see.

Mason should be able to do the job just fine if last year is any indication. And if Frankamp is even a quarter of the miracle worker saphojunkie suggests he is, we'll be way better off.

Heh...posted what I thought would be the starting squad.

then got in my car and drove to work...not knowing Tharpe is going to transfer.

Then I listed to 610am

came back and updated my post. It's Mason's job to lose....if that kid can get an outside shot going....he's going to be dangerous.

Look, I know you're a big stats guy but I don't think you're being fair in your assessment of Frankamp. I think there is one major thing that you leave out. How many of those 225 minutes did he actually play at the PG position? I thought he played quite a bit as the 2 guard and that's not even his natural position. And in the limited minutes he had it seemed to me that he would defer to another player if he didn't have an open shot. IMO, you will see a much improved CF next season. I like Mason, too. But I think you're selling Frankamp short.
