I must have been wrong about being the only team not to do this for that long of a streatch. It still flustrates the hell out of me that I watch other teams get to enjoy there QB for long term and end up winning the Super Bowl. Jealousy. I look at teams like the Panthers and they draft Cam Newton and just think they will be on there way to a Super Bowl as we are stuck with a retread not getting past the first round in the playoffs.

I will give you credit for doing the research on teams and there droughts at drafting a first round QB.
This site would certainly be a very interesting read if the Chiefs somehow managed to be a decent team this year, and still traded up to the top of the draft to grab a top QB prospect in the next draft.

I have video of Quinn throwing a td in the 11-11 session. Will post later today.

Vikings went from 1977-1999 super bowl win, bret favre
Saints haven't drafted one since 1981 super bowl, drew Bree's
Eagles went from 1972-1999 super bowl appearance
Rams went from 1964-2010 super bowl win, appearance
Cowboys went from 1965-1989 2 super bowl wins
You realize the Vikings never have won a superbowl, big ben was 9 of 21 with a 22.6 qb rating in his first super bowl game, not sure how saints enter into argument because brees was a free agent, Rams appearances and wins had nothing to do with a first round qb.

We got a decent team just not the QB to go with it. That's what the deflating point to it is. We can have success during the season but when it comes to the playoffs & get beat we are still stuck where we are now.

Should I hold my breath your right on drafting a QB top prospect in the next draft? lol I know better than that & I will continue to beg the Chiefs for this to happen.

Crennel says Chiefs’ depth chart is work in progress

By RANDY COVITZ

The Kansas City Star

ST. JOSEPH -- Don’t believe everything you read when looking at the Chiefs’ first depth chart for Friday night’s preseason opener against Arizona.
Not even coach Romeo Crennel views it as gospel.
“I didn’t want to put a depth chart out, but they told me I had to,” Crennel said. “I don’t think you can write a whole lot into the depth chart because we are still evaluating and looking at players. What the depth chart is this week, chances are it will be different next week.
“You can’t look at everybody at the same time, so you have to have an order that you look at them, and that’s the order it came out for this week.”
One example of the floating depth chart is second-year cornerback Jalil Brown, who had stepped in at left corner when Brandon Flowers was out because of an injury. Brown worked with the first unit on Tuesday in place of Stanford Routt, who is listed as the starter on the right side.
But …
“The depth chart still has Routt there,” Crennel said. “I had to put one out, and I put one out that the guys I wanted to look at first, I put those guys first, the guys I wanted to look at second, and so on down the line until we have a depth-chart change.
“When there’s a depth-chart change, I will pass it out, and you’ll see what it is.”
Same goes at second-team quarterback, where free-agent acquisition Brady Quinn was listed ahead of second-year man Ricky Stanzi.
“He’s the one I want to look at second,” Crennel said of Quinn.

Wow, a preseason depth chart doesn't mean much? Who would have guessed.

God you're ****ing miserable. Just completely a miserable dickbag.

This is like saying "Charles wouldn't have scored that touchdown if that linebacker ran a 4.3 instead of a 4.6".

It's a stupid ****ing argument, and you've been trying to make a ton of them lately.

DJK wouldn't have gone any higher than MM if he didn't get into trouble.

The kids a gamer and a winner.

Just like when we were undefeated and he got hurt and the team went 1-2 without him and when he came back, we won out iirc.

Including the bowl game....the bowl game we weren't supposed to win against GT.

Time will tell...like I said, I think Stanzi is gonna throw fire in preseason and the hype train will be in full effect.

If he flames out and looks like shit, so be it.

It won't be the first or last time I'll be wrong about something on here.

Looks to me like Baldwin has to come back for it, like the ball is underthrown. Hard to say for sure with the small amount that we can see. Doesn't look like what I'd call a good throw.
