Tokarski had a 2.38 GAA and .919 save percentage in 41 AHL games this season. The 24-year-old only has 10 games worth of NHL experience, but with Carey Price injured, the Canadiens' only other alternative is Peter Budaj. Given that Budaj has a 5.13 GAA and .843 save percentage in seven career playoff contests, it's not surprising that Montreal is willing to gamble on their untested, but promising young goaltender."

You're right on that because most teams just focus on clearing the puck out of the zone instead of trying to make them pay.

I would expect a concerted effort, probably next year, by teams to try to set up some higher percentage opportunities when the other team pulls the net.

Yeah, you'd think they have to. At least get guys to try and skate it out more aggressively rather than chipping it out and going for the change every time.

Or maybe make everybody practice their shots from their own blue line.

And it's crazy to me how long some teams wait. I get that you have to wait for a chance to get the goalie over to the bench but it seems like some teams wait until the last possible second.

Yeah, when teams wait until 60-90 seconds to go, it can take 20 seconds just to get the goalie out, and I've seen teams spend the entire time just trying to get him pulled at all. An important part of Roy's strategy is pulling him at a stoppage, because you don't know when the next one will be, and also trying to get a good match up.
