wow, the Rockets truly layed an egg last night.

How do you lose your first home game afer Tony Parker goes down?

They dont have any sort of killer instinct at all.

Rockets are a good team but they rely on Harden way too much. I like Harden but man that guy is streaky and his defense sucks. They also have been shooting like crap from 3-pt range this whole postseason.

Spurs are tough to beat when Alridge is playing well, with or without Parker. They have the best coach in the NBA along with arguably the best 2-way player in the league in Leonard. Very tough team to beat, don't be surprised if they take GS to 6 or 7 games if Alridge continues to play well.

Harden plays defense, moreso than he did a year or two ago when they were awful.

The Rockets rely so much in shooting it well, when they don't, they don't really have anything else to go to.

And I don't think it's arguable that kawhi is the best 2 way player. Until lebron quits, atleast it's not.

Not really, but it's been that way for a while. Stars win in the nba, always have. People seem to think "super teams" are this new phenomenon.

It's closer than most people think. Leonard plays better D but LeBron is better at O.

That said, Leonard has far less help than LeBron does yet his team won more regular season games and is currently up 2-1 on the Rockets, a team that won 55 games, more than the Cavs did.

And they just won a game without Parker one of the Spurs better players. That's impressive.

LeBron is amazing but anyone claiming that he isn't playing in a cupcake Conference and taking advantage of it is in denial. Not his fault but it is something that has to be taken into consideration when comparing the two.

I know. I don't get it.

Super teams always win and upsets seem damn impossible in the NBA.

I just hate seeing the same sh*t all the time.

At least in other sports you have upsets.

*As far stars go, I'm disagreeing with you a bit on that front because there are lots of nba all-stars that don't win NBA titles. To be more specific, it's pretty much if your team doesn't have a world class player, like a top 10 elite talent (I.e., Michael Jordan, Kobe, Shaq, Lebron, S Curry) the chances of them winning are highly unlikely.

To an extent. The 2004 Pistons didn't really have that great of an individual player like MJ, LeBron, Shaq etc... I'm sure there are other examples. But yes with Basketball usually the team with the best player wins.

It's still a team game but it's less of a team sport than football IMO.

Sure, there are exceptions to every rule. The 04 Pistons fit that bill.

It's not just about having A star, but MULTIPLE ones. Look at history. The Lakers with Magic and Kareem, Shaq and Kobe, MJ's Bulls somewhat etc.

You also don't have upsets because it's set how its supposed to be set. You have to win series, multiple series to get there and win. It gets the best teams apart from the mediocre or average ones. If it were single elimination, there'd be more upsets.

It's not a wide gap, and I think Lebron isn't the defender he was 5 or 6 years ago, obviously, but I also think some of that is due to effort and not so much age.

Leonard has far less help? Really? Thats new.

If GS wins the title that may be the best team of all time.

Only the 96 Bulls are in the same category.

Boring playoffs. Everyone already knows it'll be Warriors vs Cavs and the Warriors should win that series in max 6-games. Half the time the games feel like a 3-pt-contest more than basketball.

I enjoy watching Spurs because I'm a Spurs fan but that's about it. Celtics-Wizards series is pretty good but again it is hard to get into it when you know the Cavs will more than likely beat either team pretty easily.
